Demand a Special Session to Protect the Rights of the State and of the Citizens of Wyoming

What are the executive branch, legislative branch, and judicial branch of the Wyoming government doing to protect the rights of the citizens of Wyoming and those of the State of Wyoming?
The answer is that the three branches of Wyoming’s Government are doing nothing to protect our rights. Since the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in March the AG's office and the Governor's office have been inundated with calls directing them to protect the rights of the citizens of Wyoming.
Both the Attorney General and the Governor have chosen to do nothing.
And now Speaker of the House Simpson and Senate President Hines oppose the calling of a Special Session.
They are apparently of the opinion that Government has the right to mandate the citizens of Wyoming to purchase commercial products. Pursuing the Governor and AG further is ineffective and will surely prove futile.
Wyoming's last line of defense is the Legislature. Demand that the Legislature call a special session!

What can Wyoming do?
Wyoming can pass the Healthcare Freedom Act and amend the Wyoming Constitution to protect the citizens of this state.
Wyoming can bring the Healthcare Freedom Act Constitutional Amendment before the voters during the General Election in November of 2010. (As a matter of Wyoming statutes, constitutional amendments can only be brought before the voters during General Elections. If this is not pursued now, Wyoming would have to wait until 2012).
Wyoming can join the other 18 states in pursuing the lawsuit against this unconstitutional Healthcare Act.

How can Wyoming do it?
To accomplish this:
a Special Session must be called.
At the special session
· the Constitutional Amendment: Healthcare Freedom Act can be brought up for a vote.
· The legislature can propose legislation compelling the AG to join the lawsuit or a special attorney can be appointed to join the lawsuit on behalf of Wyoming.
The republican dominated house and senate have a veto-proof majority.
We have the votes to pass a constitutional amendment and to override the Governor’s veto!

What do you want Wyoming to do?
If, as a citizen of the State of Wyoming, it is your expressed wish to have your rights and those of our great state protected then please contact the President of the Senate Hines and the Speaker of the House Simpson as well as your legislators and demand that a special session be called.
The Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate can call a special session but now they oppose it. Now it is up to the legislators to compel a vote to call a special session.
Your Legislators are your last line of defense.
